testing projects

.  In this project I have attached Four sheets(functional requirement specification ,test scenario ,test case ,defect tracking sheet) which are very important for manual tester .So you must click on that link to see the sheet.

  Here is a sample manual project which gives you some idea about the black box testing , i will show you how to test the functionality of a software .let assume a company named as prady  ltd which wants to store his product details  as well as customer information .Then he goes to a software company lp soft(assume) and tells that he wants a software to stores information about his organization also stores information about his customer so the requirements are
   1 He wants to store the information about the company(products.employee,branches)
   2 he wants to store the information about their customer(assigning a customer to an employee,payment details ,follow ups)
so these are the basic requirements of clients
so there are 2 scenarios arises
 1 They may have already a software(product/solution
 2 .They will build a software for clients(project/issue)
discussion and meetings take place between two parties term and conditions are agreed and  documents are signed
then meeting take place in which client gives their all requirements and the members of the meeting are project manager, project leader ,business analyst .developer /tester .
project team who will work on the clients software is introduced to the first time.stake holders are decided and team member roles are specified.Reporting procedure ,criteria and different phases software undergoes (SDLC)and project schedule  is discussed.
lets there are 10 requirements:
1.software should be used by authentic user
2.software should store the details of organisation
3.software should store the details of employee
4.software should store the details of their customer
5.Admin should assign login credential to other employee
 6.Admin should assign the prospect to the employee(when assigned it should be notified when they open the software)
7.software should store the payment details made by  client.

Its a pseudo screen not a actual page ,because in the mean time of   project the actual page is under development phase
  so at first we have to prepare a FRS(functional requirement specification) for this login page. ,then we prepare the test scenario and test cases

 (click on this LINK) .NOW we prepare the test scenario for this login page .when we prepare the test scenarios and test case we dont have the screen we have only this FRS document. So now we prepare the basic template of test scenarios it contains scenario name scenario id ,description ,pre cond ,post cond ,priority and remarks
i have prepared a basic scenario template u can see it from this.Click on this link SCENARIO TEMPLATE   .I have used this requirement information, so you can understand easily.Now its time to prepare the test case using this test scenario.
after we prepare the test scenario we have to prepare the test case for the login page
So  a test case is prepared using the test scenario documents .I have prepared a test case  for the login page

  Here you can find the real test case document, just click on this link  TEST CASE document using excel sheet.I have got a bug in the verification of submission button ,so now we have to learn how to report a bug to the test manager or developer who made that section .At first we should prepare defect tracking sheet.there are so many tools are there like rational clear quest or product studio or quality center or bug zilla but we are going to prepare the defect tracking sheet in XLS format .
we have to prepare it in the excel sheet like other documents.
